Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cambon la Pelouse is scented of cedar, tar and earth with a core of warm plums and cassis with mocha and lavender hints. The palate is full-bodied, firm and laden with fruit, supported by grainy tannins and finishing long.
A beautiful reference of the Haut - Medoc, Château Cambon La Pelouse is located on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. The vineyard covers 39 hectares of vineyards, planted on gravel and Quaternary sand soils. Since 2018, Château Cambon La Pelouse has had a HVE level 3 certification. The Château Cambon La Pelouse 2018 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Merlot (42%) and Petit Verdot (4%).
Chateau Cambon La Pelouse is located close to the Grands Crus Classes Giscours and Cantemerle, at the frontier between Margaux and Haut-Medoc. A rising star of the AOC, the wines have been consistently evolving and have become exemplary of the Haut-Medoc appellation. The chateau was upgraded to Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 2020.
